Network for New Math and Science Teachers (NNMST)

The Network for New Math and Science Teachers (NNMST) provides teachers with the tools and expertise that will enable them to provide high-quality math and science instruction to their students. The meetings will focus on:
• Program of Studies and State Curriculum Standards
• How to create lessons and unit plans
• Targeting known student misconceptions
• Best practice strategies based on current research
• Designing classroom formative and summative assessments
• Improving literacy in math and science
• Incorporating inquiry

Target Audience: New math and science teachers (grades K-12) with 0-5 years experience including teachers with a MAT

Facilitators (PIMSER Regional Teacher Partners): Terry Parkey (math) and Becky Smith (science)
 

Meeting dates are listed below with each session offered. A maximum of 30 participants will be accepted for each session on a first-come, first-served basis. Cancellations must be submitted in writing and will be accepted no later than 10 days prior to the first meeting. Please notify the Conference Coordinator via e-mail with your cancellation request at jessicadutzy@uky.edu. You will need a purchase order number, authorizing official, and a mailing address for the invoice to complete your registration.
