CFC International Family Conference & Medical Consult

The CFC International Conference is a unique learning opportunity for families and professionals to connect throughout the three-day program. The program offers keynote speakers who are experts in their fields, workshops tailored to connect families with others of similar experiences, individual consultations with CFC International Medical Advisory Board members, and childcare programs for children of all ages!

What is the deadline to register for the conference?
Monday, July 1st.

How much does it cost to attend the conference?
The costs for Early Registration (payment received by May 1st) are:
Adult (ages 13 and up as of July 1): $110
Child (ages 6 - 12 as of July 1): $50
Children 5 and under and Person who has CFC Syndrome: No Charge

The costs for Regular Registration (payment received between May 2nd – July 1st) are:
Adult (ages 13 and up as of July 1): $160
Child (ages 6 - 12 as of July 1):$75
Children 5 and under and Person who has CFC Syndrome: No Charge

Is Childcare Provided?
We will have professional childcare with Kids Nite Out www.kidsniteout.com available for CFC children (6 months – age 18 as of July 1) and their siblings (up to age 12 as of July 1) who are registered for the conference. A private sponsor will be funding the bulk of the bill and we ask only for a small donation of $35 per child toward childcare all day Friday and Saturday. Unfortuately, we cannot accommodate any other extended family members or friends.  Your spot will be guaranteed as soon as the form is received space permitting. The form is available as a download in the next section where you can upload and attach with your electronic registration or mail. We recommend uploading in order to guarantee your spot.

Please note:
- Kids Nite Out cannot provide one-on-one child care or nursing care.
- Out of respect for others, please do not bring your children to conference and workshop sessions.
- Due to the limited number of childcare spots we can only accommodate families who are staying at the hotel.
- For the safety of your child, please ensure that you are on the hotel premises at all times while your child is in childcare.
- Registration and payment is required for each child who goes to childcare, even once.

What about our CFC children over age 18?
For the first time we will host a teen/young adult lounge for CFC individuals who are over age 18 as of July 1. This separate lounge room will be staffed by volunteers and have games, Wii games and movies. The cost to attend is $10 for the two days and all individuals must be registered. Your spot will be guaranteed as soon as the form is received space permitting. The form is available as a download in the next section where you can upload and attach with your electronic registration or mail. We recommend uploading in order to guarantee your spot.

What about discount tickets to the theme parks?
We have located a company who can help with discounted tickets. All of these tickets will be available both for pre-arrival Internet orders and on property at the Renaissance Resort during the guest stay. By purchasing the tickets in advance; the guest is able to guarantee ticket availability and pick them up at our Navigator desk at the resort. What kind of weather should we expect in Orlando in July?
Expect warm temperatures! The average high is 92 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low is 73. If you are traveling to Orlando, pack lightweight clothing and items to protect you from the sun and rain. If you spend any amount of time outdoors, be sure to put on sunscreen! Don't ruin your vacation with blistering sunburn. Do not forget to pack a sweater or jacket to use inside the air-conditioned conference facility.

What is proper attire?
Casual, comfortable attire is appropriate for the entire conference. Dressier attire is sometimes chosen, but not required, for the Saturday evening dinner.

What is New Family Orientation?
For the first time, we will be holding an Orientation for families who have never attended our conference before. The Orientation will take place on Wednesday night at 7pm. Veteran families will prepare you for the days ahead and answer any questions you may have.

What is Mom's & Dad’s Nite Out?
We have a conference tradition to provide one night for each parent to get together with other mothers and fathers in the hotel. This relaxed and comfortable hotel suite setting gives parents a chance to chat and make that connection with others who have walked in your shoes. Mom’s Nite Out is Friday and Dad’s Nite Out is Saturday.

What is the Saturday night Celebration Dinner?
Each Conference hosts a celebration banquet dinner including a silent auction. New this year is a dance party! Guests are also welcome to attend but you must pay for them in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot sell tickets at the door.   The cost for each additional adult guest not registered for the conference is $32 and the cost for each additional child guest ages 6-12 not registered for the conference is $16. Children under the age of 5 do not need tickets. You will be able to purchase as many tickets as you need during this registration process.

Will there be anything special planned for the kids?
On Thursday we will host a Wildlife Show by Gatorland! Learn about wildlife native to Florida and meet the reptiles and mammals up close and in person that you don’t see every day!

Do I need to make reservations at the hotel separately and what is the price?
Being together at the same hotel is so important and lends itself to the very purpose of our conference. Please make your own hotel reservations directly with the Renaissance Orlando at Sea World by June 27th in the CFC International block at a reduced rate of $109 per night plus tax and parking ($8 per day).
