The hotel is approximately a 10-minute walk from Berklee’s 1140 Boylston Street building where many rehearsals and master classes will be held. Located in Kenmore Square the hotel is just steps away from Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. The hotel is newly renovated and features 2 restaurants, a cocktail bar,  an outdoor terrace facing the baseball stadium, and many other amenities.

Details: Opened in 2012, this is a hostel located near Boston’s historic downtown and is approx 15 minutes by public transportation, or 30 minutes walking to Berklee’s 1140 Boylston Street building where many rehearsals and master classes will be held. Their prices vary based on demand, so the earlier that people book a bed the cheaper it would be. When we checked in January the rates for a 4-bed room varied from approx $42 - $56 dollars per night, depending upon the type of room chosen. Attendees would be able to choose a 4-bed, or 6-bed room with an IASJ discount, but there are also 7 and 8-bed rooms and private rooms available which would not be discounted.

Public Transportation

Berklee College of Music is located close to the Hynes Convention Center subway stop on the MBTA’s Green Line, as well as the bus routes: CT1, 1, and 55. Visit www.mbta.com for route and schedule information. 7-Day Bus/Subway passes are available for $19 from most subway stations.

Getting to the Airport

In addition to taxi’s and other livery services (including Uber and Lyft) there is a $5 Logan Express Bus which leaves from 2 locations near Berklee (from in front of the Hynes Convention Center at 900 Boylston Street, and from the Copley Square Subway Station at 650 Boylston Street). The Logan Express Bus goes directly to Boston’s Logan Airport and makes stops at all terminals. The bus is free with a valid MBTA linkpass.
