Thursday

  • Registration opens at 4:00 pm in the lobby. Pick up your name tag, folder and visual journal!

  • Dinner buffet from 6-7 in the Grand Ballroom

  • Choice of activities: Creating Recycled Art for Friday Night’s Mosaic Promenade, Visual Journaling and Name Tag Embellishing

  • Drop off your completed PDSF baskets securely wrapped with clear plastic and inventory label to Tonia in Grand Ballroom Lobby (see PDSF TAB for more details)

  • Visual Journal Station will be open 24 hours in the Grand Ballroom Lobby

Friday

  • Registration opens at 7:30 am in the Lobby. Pick up your name tag, folder and visual journal!

  • Drop off your completed PDSF baskets securely wrapped with clear plastic and inventory label to Tonia in the Grand Lobby Ballroom (see PDSF TAB for more details)

  • Day filled with hands on workshops, one best practice lecture and vendors.

  • View the entries for the Youth Art Month Flag Contest in Grand Ballroom Lobby for and cast your vote for the best flag entry!

  • Buy tickets for the PDSF raffle at each meal and lucky winners announced Friday evening during the Artist Market!

  • Michael Bell Keynote Address

  • Hands on Visual Journaling workshop, "31 Nights" with Michael Bell for all attendees

  • Dress for the Awards Dinner and Mosaic Promenade! 

  • Honor AAEA members at the Awards Ceremony in the Grand Ballroom followed by the Mosaic Promenade! (See Awards tab above for more details)

  • Artist Market in Grand Ballroom in conjunction with the Mosaic Promenade!

  • Meet teachers in your neighboring districts at the Regional Meetings

  • Farewell Address

Sunday

After a weekend of workshops, relax and reflect upon the conference. What did you learn? What else would you like to know? How can the conference improve for next year? We invite all members who wish to stay for a de-briefing session for the early stages of preparing for next year’s conference.  
From 8:00 to 10:00 A.M., the AAEA board, committee members and any interested members will meet in the Cactus Rose for breakfast and to review the  conference. When registering, add on “Saturday Evening” so we know you will be joining us to give valuable feedback and offer to become more involved with AAEA.
