A cloud-based computer program, that allows you to pair commercially available patterns and fabrics from across the quilting industry to create your own unique one-of-a-kind quilt. Join Certified Instructor Donna Viau as she takes you from start to finish-learning how to “read” Quiltworx patterns, prepare papers and fabrics and the fundamentals of paper piecing. In this class you will learn how to piece a simple Lone Star diamond as well as several other fundamental techniques including TRP’s and cutting T-Templates. You will be excited and ready to choose your next Quiltworx project by the end of the day.

We are excited to be presenting the newest “Technique of the Month” Carnival Flower. This is the seventh “Technique of the Month” pattern. The Carnival Flower brings together a wide range of techniques for Foundation Paper Piecing, leaving students with the ability to move on to many other Quiltworx patterns once they have completed the design. Come join us for a fun filled week of quilting and learning the Quiltworx paper piecing process that minimizes waste. Our certified instructors will share their ideas and tips and tricks. Your Project
Carnival Flower participants will be able to design their project using the Quiltster tool on their own or with the help of one of Yoder Department Store’s coloring experts using all fabrics available on the Quiltster Marketplace. There will also be some pre-planned project designs should you choose. If your favorite fabric is not available, be sure to ask if it can be added for use in your project.
A monthly Quiltster subscription will be included in the workshop fee, however, the cost of your project is not included in your registration, and therefore will be an additional expense. After ordering your Carnival Flower project, we will prepare your kit and have it waiting for you at the event.
Classroom Instruction
You will have a team of instructors with almost a century of combined experience ready to teach you everything you need to know to make this wonderful quilt. All instructors have been through the official Quiltworx Certified Instructor training program.

The Masquerade awaits! This wall quilt has at least 5 different Quiltworx techniques that you will learn or review while we go on this paper piecing journey together. You will learn how to prepare your pattern and fabric using template layout sheets, and then how to piece a small spike unit during your first day of class. The 2nd and 3rd day of class you will learn how to piece wonky geese, narrow veins, and gentle curves. You will be sent home with the knowledge to finish your quilt with confidence and tutorial video links to help you do so.
