SEAAEYC is pleased to be offering our annual conference.

This year's AEYC-SEA Early Childhood Conference will focus on place-based learning, environmental education, and engaging young children in our natural world with hands-on exploration and wonder.

SEA-AEYC is excited to announce our highly esteemed Keynote Speaker for this year's Early Childhood Conference.

Koogak’aax (Angela Lunda) is a life-long Alaskan of the Tlingít tribe, Ch’aak (Eagle) moiety, Kaagwaantaan (Wolf) clan, and the Sitka Déix X’awool’ja Hít (Two-Door House) with more than three decades as a teacher and administrator. Dr. Lunda is currently employed as a Professor of Education at the University of Alaska Southeast and is involved in two National Science Foundation-funded research projects exploring the phenomenon of environmental and cultural identity development in young children. Her research interests center around young children’s experiences on the land and how those experiences influence children’s relationship with Land.

We are grateful to host Dr. Lunda as she presents over the course of the Conference, and we look forward to having you all there. Stay tuned for registration opening soon!
