Hanging Mushroom Ornament

Dates: Class is offered in multiple time slots. FRIDAY AUGUST 30 and SATURDAY AUGUST 31

Time: FRIDAY 9 -10:30 AM OR . 10:45 am-12:15 pm OR SATURDAY 9-10:30 AM

Cost: $ 15 class fee includes all tools and materials. Bring dried moss and lichens for around base. $2 charge per extra broken needle.
AGES 8 and up
Each person will make one needlefelted wool ornament in their choice of mushroom.

Mushroom Terrarium

Dates: Class is offered in multiple time slots. FRIDAY AUGUST 30

Time: 1 PM - 3:15 PM OR . 3:30-5:45 PM

Cost: $ 15.00 class fee (dome extra)

Our annual mushroom terrarium workshop!
Create a pair of mushrooms using carded wool and wetfelting techniques.

Class includes all materials for making the mushrooms. Suitable for displaying under dome with woodland treasures.
Domes extra.

Bring handful of small woodland items such as dry cones, lichen, and moss.

Open to ages 5 and up. Ages 5-9 with parent.

Natural Dyeing with Mushrooms and Native Plants

Date: SATURDAY AUGUST 31

Time: 1 - 5:30 PM

Cost: $55 class fee PLUS $25 MATERIALS FEE . $80 TOTAL

Learn the basics of natural dyeing from local dyers Amber Wasson & Raven Madison, assisted by Dotty WIdmann We will be focusing on mushroom pigments, but also covering local native plats that work well to create color. Class will concentrate on creating a small collecion of hand dyed materials suitable for needlework including silk ribbon, wool felt, linen, and embroidry threads. Topics to be covered include the collection of local dyeplants, mordanting both protein and cellulose fibers, and the dyeing process.

Autumn Needlework

Date: TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 3

Time: 5:30 - 9:30 pm

Cost: $ 30 class fee includes all tools and materials. $2 charge per extra broken needle.
AGES 11 and up

Create this multineedlework using a variety of techniques and materials, including mushroom dyed wool felt. Framed in hoop.
Level: All levels welcome

Focus: Embroidery, Needlefelting, Wool Applique

Autumn Embellished Basket

Date: SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 8

Time: 1 - 9 PM with dinner break between 6-7 (students may finish sooner)

Cost: $30.00 includes brushes, paints,and snacks. BASKET EXTRA and to be chosen prior to class

Embellish your choice of basket with your choice of motifs. Berries, mushrooms, golden leaves may be painted on bands or surfaces of picnic. foraging, or serving basket.

Level: Ages 14 and up.
